Trust & data

Your conversations are not our product

Six principles decide how OpenUno treats data. They come before features, before revenue, and before growth.

Principles

Six rules we build on

Private conversations are never sold

Your chats are not a product. We do not sell them, rent them or turn them into datasets for others.

Purpose before collection

Every use of data has a stated purpose and a legal basis before it starts, and access is limited to that purpose.

Specific, revocable permission

Anything beyond running the service is opt-in, asked for one purpose at a time, and can be withdrawn.

Pseudonymised is still personal

Removing names does not take data outside privacy law. We treat pseudonymised data under the LGPD and GDPR like any personal data.

No datasets from learners

Education data, and above all children’s data, is used only to run the service for the school. It never becomes a dataset.

Aggregates for insight, controls for audit

Analytics use aggregated usage and cost. Governance keeps privacy controls and an audit trail beside them.

Questions

Straight answers

UnoIf an answer here ever stops being true, this page changes first.
Do you sell my conversations?

No. Not to advertisers, not to model providers, not to anyone.

Do you train models on my chats?

Not without asking. Any use beyond running the service is opt-in, for one stated purpose, and you can withdraw it.

Which privacy laws apply?

We design for the LGPD in Brazil and the GDPR in Europe, and treat pseudonymised data as personal data under both.

Where is the privacy policy?

The full privacy policy and terms of use are published before OpenUno opens to the public. This page states the principles they will follow.
